Everyone of you that knows me also knows that I lost most of my weight from doing Beachbody products.
Started with Turbo Jam, TurboFire and then eventually P90X. I would certainly not be where I am if it wasn't from Beachbody products. Back then I just could never imagine myself going to the gym while having to take care of a newborn. And to be honest I was so ashamed of my body I would never have dared set foot in a gym.
When I started doing TurboJam I was perhaps overwhelmed on the first day but soon found that I just couldn't get enough of doing the videos! I was having so much fun! For the first time (probably ever) I was having the greatest time working out. I think that is why it made it so easy to do the transition between "not working out at all" to "wanting to workout more"!
I have enjoyed all my workouts from them, all so different but yet the quality does not change! Without Beachbody I'm not sure I would have been able to keep running, entering half-marathons and a full one. I'm not sure I would have made it this far into my mountaineering adventure. My passion.
When I heard about the opportunity of becoming a coach in Canada I was so beyond happy! I had been waiting for that for so long! Now why would I become a coach? Because I love helping others. And especially when I comes to helping others attained their fitness goals.
I absolutely cannot wait to start with Beachbody, it is going to be a journey I wont regret, I am certain of that!
Once I become a coach, hopefully on October 1, I plan on starting the Ultimate Reset. I believe it will not only make me feel better, as I trust all of their product, but I also believe it might help me with my intolerance to foods. Overall I cannot wait to start a new Journey! And I am definitely happy it will be with Beachbody!

Mt. Rainier day 01
We all met at 8am this morning at the IMG office in Ashford. I was up and ready from excitement at 6! However I did sleep really good. Had breakfast left and said my goodbyes!
Back to IMG, we headed in a van to Paradise and started our climb around 9:30. I liked the pace we had, it wasn't too slow or too fast either. We took about 4 breaks, every hour or so. We arrived camp Muir at around 2ish.
They showed us our shelter/Bunk house for the night and gave us all the way to 5:30 to rest.
Apparently most group take longer and we did it in a decent time according to one of my guide.
Dinner was awesome! Totally the kinda meal I love! Quinoa, chicken and vegetables! Nice!
Now it's 8:15 and I can't sleep yet. I have to use the washroom every half hour. Really annoying! I'm afraid the guys will get annoyed with me if I keep getting up in the night! haha
The view from here is amazing and I was lucky to have a great group of guys!

My. Rainier day 02
I woke up before 6am and was able to see the sunrise on Camp Muir. What a pretty sight. I walked around on the ledge for a while taking it all in and then we were called into the cooking shelter for our breakfast! Well I had so many pancakes!Great for a gluten free girl, not! But they were pretty good! Especially with some yummy coffee and bacon!
After breakfast we started a little bit of training. Mostly just self arrest and how to properly walk with ice axe and crampons. I already had done lots of that with Yamnuska in late June but it gave me time to practice!
We headed for ingraham flats around noon and got to our camp around 2ish.
All I can say is incredible!!!!! I have never had the chance to stay on such a beautiful piece of ice! You are literally sleeping surrounding big huge crevasses and rock fall! This is where I wanted to get to! I thought wow. This is not as hard as I imagine so I can totally do this!!!!! Summit day, here I come.
We had some pasta for dinner in another really cool shelter. Felt like being in a ice bar! Only thing missing? Maybe a few glass of whiskey! Ha!
I must say, my guide was right I got pretty cold that night. Mostly because my boots got wet during the day. I probably should have rented some plastic ones! Oh well, always listen to your guide!!!
Didn't have much sleep that evening. Between being so cold and shivering all night and waking up to the sound of rock falling, how can someone get a great night, but so worth it!

Mt. Rainier Day 03
Woke up or should I say got up, Yes I did get a little sleep but not much! Those rockfall were pretty intense and I felt like they were way to close ;)
Once I got out of my sleeping bag all I wanted was to get going. I knew that was the only way for me to get warm! By then I felt like everything was just a dream, I told myself its all about putting one foot in front of the other. Gotta keep moving! And I did. I was actually surprised at how much easier it was then I expected. I was so worried about not making it physically that I think I scared myself and trained much harder, which was a good think. The only thing that made me tired FAST was the steeper switchback. I had trouble going up in certain area and I remember really using the pick of my Ice axe to get up the slope. My arms got tired really quickly but it also gave my legs a break!
The whole time we climbed in the dark truly felt unreal to me. Almost like I actually was sleepwalking!
The altitude didn't bother me until I reached about 13000 ft. For some reason I started coughing and I had trouble getting it to stop. Lucky for me one of the guide had some warm tea and it really helped me.
I must admit I felt pretty choked up when I got to the crater. I'm pretty sure I had tears in my eyes but I was so focus on not coughing that I retained myself! I truly felt like all the hours spent running outside or on the treadmill, all the 5:30am wake up call to workout, all the times I carried my daughter hiking or doing millions of stairs paid off. I was truly in my own kind of paradise!
I made it to the true summit of Rainier, took a few pictures and unfortunately it was already time to go. The summit was REALLY windy and pretty cold. I wouldn't have had a pic-nik or anything anyways ;)
The way down was "easy" but I sure was a little more "scared" then I thought I would be when it came time to do the plank and the ladder. I think what got me going is when I mentioned that I felt like the plank was super sketchy. The response I got? It is indeed very sketchy, it will actually collapse in the next couple weeks! Then I was like, do I really feel like extending my day by falling into a 100 meter crevasse?
Now thinking of it is totally not scary and Id do it again anyday but at that moment I felt pretty small and unsecured! Ha!
The rest of the way went pretty good and I had much more energy then I thought I would. Shows how much I worked hard I guess! I would like to thank the guys from the team for letting me use their pictures too!
Overall this was one of the best moment of my life. Much different then anything I had ever done, one of my life goals for years and I did it all for a good cause. I have raised over $1500.00 for Alzheimer's and I will keep my website running until....next time? You never know!
I would like to take this time to thank all of you who have helped me and supported me and my cause. Especially my husband who helped with the bottle drives and helped me train hard.

Hard to tell but this is the ladder part with the plank in the back

This is it. I'm climbing Mt. Rainier in a few days!
This is it. I'm climbing Mt.Rainier in a few days! I am leaving for Washington tomorrow and will be meeting my group on Monday. I will try to keep updates as much as I can but sometimes it is just not possible!
I am very nervous, I know I am in much better shape then ever but I still have many doubts. Mostly because of the altitude problems I've had in the past. All I know is that I will do my best, and forget the rest ;)
Well it seems I was able to fit all my gear in my Osprey Bag after all! All I need to rent now is my crampons!
I am still missing a few food items but will get that in the states when I get in! (gotta love the Dora the explorer fruit snacks, yes, I did take them from my daughter hehe)

Weekend of hikes and little scrambles!
I really wanted to work hard for 2 days straight with a pack before leaving for Rainier which is btw only one week away!!!!!!
Me and the family stayed at our regular spot on Abraham lake on the David Thompson highway. We did our first hike on Saturday, we headed for Cirque Peak by Bow Lake on the Icefield parkway.
Unfortunately I couldn't carry my daughter on my back since I had to wear my new backpack. (Which btw I absolutely love!) I bought an Osprey Ariel 65 and I wanted the straps to mold to my body prior to Rainier.
By the time we got to Helen Lake my husband was completely beat and couldn't continue. I must say this because I was proud. I have been carrying my daughter + 3L of water everyone of those scrambles/hikes we have done!!!! Now he knows how I felt!
So I decided to go and scramble a little and made it half way the peak when I started to feel guilty. I fid go back after a few pictures. Still a great workout! I am however sad to say my feet got mangled again and apparently my boots and my feet don't like eachother. I should buy shares of Moleskin!!!!
Sunday.
I give the option to my husband.
We either do Mt. Wilcox or we can go on a small
hike called Parker's ridge and then kinda scramble on Hilda Ridge to make it longer. He picked Hilda!
We first drove to the icefield so I could show him Mt. Athabasca since the weather was so great! Wow Im impressed I made it up Athabasca! What a beautiful peak!
Anyhow we made it on top of Parker in no time and I was happy to be doing more. My daughter is heavy and awkward but I love to carry her and practice the heavy load! Too bad we had to cut it shorter then i wanted...We got pretty much kicked out of Hilda by the sheeps. They wanted food and I didn't like the way they kept coming running at us. It's one thing to either see them from your car or just walk by then but when they are walking behind you for what seems forever, it's creepy! Ever looked at them in the eyes. Yikes!
I finish the weekend at the campsite with some wine, steaks and a visit from my bestfriend! Great weekend!
